Tournament Games
Every team will be guaranteed 3 games. ALL teams need to be prepared to play games Friday – Sunday. A few local teams may have games on Thursday night (We will verify with you before scheduling Thursday night game).

U9 and older teams will have playoffs. Depending on the size of the divisions, some may have quarter-finals also. Some older divisions may finish their games on Sunday morning, before starting their playoff games. All final games will be on Sunday.

The advancement procedures will be modified as required based on the number of teams in a particular bracket. Teams will be placed in brackets considering previous experience as well as age. The number of teams in an age bracket determines whether competition is round robin or has finals and/or semi-finals.

Age Divisions
We understand the desire for age-pure divisions.  Age-pure U11, U13, and U15 divisions will be created if sufficient teams register. If not, the U11, U13, and U15 teams will be placed in the U12, U14, and U16 divisions, respectively.  Not being placed in an age pure division is not sufficient reason to withdraw from the tournament.  Any withdrawals for this reason (once you have been accepted) will be reported to the North Texas State Soccer Association Cups and Games Committee.
Guest Players
Three (3) guest players are allowed in Recreational Divisions and and five (5) guest players for Competitive Divisions. Each Guest Player Release Form must be turn in at check in, also a medical release form must be presented.
Rainout Policy
If the tournament is rained out on the schedule date, the tournament will be held on the following weekend. If that date is rained out as well, the tournament will be canceled. If the tournament is rained out / canceled before it started, 1/2 of your entry fee will be refunded.
Score Sheet / Roster Sheet
It is required to have tournament roster sheets completed by ALL teams U9 and up. These score sheets are available for download on our FORMS page. These forms must be completed and 5 copies brought to team check in and validated by a tournament representative.

These score sheets will be required for each team to turn into the referee before each game. Both teams are required to turn these score sheets into the tournament headquarters / field marshals within 15 minutes after their game, to avoid forfeit of the game.

Team Check In
Team Check-In is required before play. Check in will be on Thursday for local teams from 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM at Sagentic Web Design in downtown Cleburne.  We encourage all teams to check in Thursday night as limited staff will be available to check teams in on Friday and Saturday. Friday night and Saturday morning checking will be under the tournament tent at the Cleburne Sports Complex. Please check in at least one hour prior to your game.

At check in:
  • Teams will receive tournament packets
  • Turn in a team roster with your Home Association Registrar and Coach signature
  • Medical release forms will be verified
  • Turn in Guest player releases forms
  • U9 and up teams will need a total of 7 Misconduct Report / Game Reports to be validated (these must be completely filled out)

Make sure your rosters are up-to-date in your GotSoccer account.
Conduct
There will be zero tolerance of abusive or offensive language or actions by coaches, players, parents, and fans toward referees or tournament staff.  Field Marshalls will be on hand to remove anyone who violates this policy.  The Cleburne Police Department will be called to remove anyone who does not wish to leave as requested.

Each team (youth and adult) in NTSSA is responsible for the conduct of its spectators. The referee shall have the authority to caution and/or send off the coach or acting coach from the field for the misconduct of the spectators associated with the team. Therefore, the coach/assistant coach/team manager is expected to control his spectators, especially on nonenclosed fields.

If he is unable to do so, Member Associations, Playing Leagues and/or Tournament Officials are directed to take appropriate actions toward the identifiable, unruly spectator, or if unidentifiable, towards the team itself. Member Associations, Playing Leagues and Tournament Officials shall report spectator misconduct to the State A&D Committee for review and further action if warranted.
Awards
U8 and younger teams will play three games and all players will receive participation awards. The U9 and older Recreational and Competitive teams will compete for place awards, which will be awarded after the division final game.

In the event that a team is scheduled to play the another team from their own bracket based on seeding, the playoffs will be aligned to promote play across the brackets where possible.

Any situation or question on the rules of the tournament that are not covered herein will be governed by NTSSA and USYSA Rules, in that order. The tournament director shall determine any matters not provided for in those rules. The decision of the tournament director or designee is final.
Medical Release Forms
Coaches are required to present to the tournament committee at check-in signed (and preferably notarized) medical releases for each player. Players without medical release forms will not be allowed to play.
Shin Guards
Size appropriate shin guards are required for all players while they are on the field, including warm up activities.  Shin guards must be worn under the socks as required by FIFA Laws of the Game and U.S. Youth Soccer.
Home & Visitors
In most cases, teams will be on opposite sides of the field. The Home team (team listed first on the pairings) should be on the North or West side and the visitor team should be on the South or East side of the field. The Home team will supply the game ball.
Uniforms
All members of a team shall wear the same color shirt except the goalkeeper, who shall wear a different and distinguishable color. All team shirts shall have the individual’s number on the back.

The HOME team will wear their white or light colored jersey. The VISITING team will wear their dark colored jersey.   In the event that these colors conflict, the HOME team will change to an alternate color or wear “pinnies”.
Academy Games
All Academy teams will play 3 preliminary games. Only the top scoring teams will advance to the championship rounds. All Academy teams will play U10 Academy format unless their are enough U9 teams to form an age-pure division. U10 Academy team's roster is allowed a maximum of 18 players. U10 Academy teams will play 11v11 on 60 x 100 fields with 8 x 24 goals. If there is a U9 division, the roster limit is 16 and players will play 9v9 on a smaller field with 8x24 goals.

Academy teams must submit the tournament roster provided by the tournament (no other form of roster will be accepted). An Academy player is only allowed to play on one team during the tournament. This format is in conjunction with the 2011 format of the Arlington Premier Academy League for U10 Academy teams.
